Our sustainable neighbourhood

Eindhoven is working step by step towards a city without natural gas and Blixembosch-West is next, because right now the timing is just right. The electricity grid in the neighbourhood has recently been upgraded, which means Blixembosch-West is now ready for the next step: homes that no longer need gas. Think of a heat pump and induction cooking.

Sustainability starts at home and works best together. Every step you take, better insulation, switching to a heat pump, makes the neighbourhood more sustainable too. Doing it alongside your neighbours makes it easier, more affordable and more enjoyable. That's how you build a future-proof neighbourhood together.

What is Buurkracht doing here?

Buurkracht is an independent organisation that helps residents take ownership of their neighbourhood's future. We work together with the City of Eindhoven, but we are here for and with the residents. Together with you, we are developing a neighbourhood plan: a plan that residents write themselves, about what matters to you and what a heating solution for Blixembosch-West should look like.
